Interview with Nicola Buck, the owner of Nicola Buck Entertainment 0

Nicola Buck interview

What attracted you to the adult entertainment industry?

I was involved in a major road accident a few years earlier, and once recovered I realised how delicate life can be, and that I wanted to have some fun. I saw a niche to fill in the WA adult entertainment market. We didn’t have anything for private parties that focused on games, particularly poker. I decided to throw in the towel with accounting, and start Nicola Buck Entertainment.

What kind of qualities do you look for when girls are applying to be part of Nicola Buck Entertainment (or Nocturnal)?

I want to see that these ladies have some street smarts and some intellect. Conversing with all different types of people in various situations is essential to clients enjoying the company of their waitresses and poker dealers. And seeing that the dancers can move and are in fact as sexy as their photos show is also important.

How long has Nicola Buck Entertainment been established and what do you see it becoming in the next 5 years?

Nicola Buck Entertainment has been established since early 2013, and I personally have been in and around the industry since 2010. In 2019 I will be launching an exciting new website. This will include a gallery, packages, and a booking engine so you can book babes there and then. Watch this space!

What does a typical day in the life of Nicola Buck look like?

It’s a hectic assortment of things, but every day starts the same. Wake up, check the phone for texts, DM’s, PM’s and emails, which can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Then it’s sometimes gym or yoga, followed by collating photos and sending them off to enquiries, answering phone calls, completing bookings, and marketing and sales. Sometimes I head to a skimpy pub shift or a private booking in the afternoons or evenings. Otherwise, it’s dance training before bed.

Describe your typical booking – who are the clients (average age and profession?)

There are no 2 bookings that are ever the same. We have clients ranging for 1-2 guys chilling who want a sexy waitress to chat to, to bucks parties of 50+ gents ranging from age 20 to 70.

Why do you think private strippers, waitresses or poker dealers appeal to these clients?

If you’re wanting to keep your invites to a select group of friends, the best place to have these parties are at home. So the party comes to you! This also gets around some of the rules of licensed venues, like cover charges, paying big money for drinks and getting thrown out by bouncers when you get too drunk.

If there was one thing you wished all your clients/customers would know, what would it be?

The difference between Adult Entertainment (what we do) and escort services (which we don’t). Asking entertainers if they do ‘extras’ often annoys them, or just makes them uncomfortable. Please just don’t do it.

What’s the craziest booking you’ve had? What happened and why was it so crazy?

10 waitresses, 2 shows, 2 trans-genders, 1 male midget-stripper, and around 70 guys in a massive warehouse. I think it’s self-explanatory!

From your experience, what advice would you give to the best man / groomsman planning a memorable bachelor party?

Cater to your audience. Depending on what the guys are into, this should be considered when booking your entertainment. If the guys are conservative, book a Teaser Package to ease them into the entertainment. If they’re red-blooded party boys, book those naked babes! Personalities of the entertainers end up being remembered, and making or breaking a night of fun.

How many outfits do you own (for work) and what’s the most popular?

Good God! I wouldn’t even know! MANY. I have a lot of red lingerie which always gets a great response at waitressing and poker bookings.

For stripshow outfits, probably the classic cop tends to be crowd favourite. Who doesn’t love seeing their best mate bent over and ‘searched’?

What would be the one piece of advice you’d tell yourself (if you could) when starting Nicola Buck Entertainment?

Don’t listen to the haters. It will only hold you back. Thankfully, I’ve never really cared about what other people say about me. My family and friends know me well enough to know that this makes me happy and that I’m still a good person – and that’s all that matters to me. And those that believe otherwise aren’t worth having around.
